In 1938, Konstantinos D. Vattis came to Greece from Istanbul as a trained chemist. He opened the “STAR Vinegar Factory” cooperatively in the “Votanikos” area in the center of Athens. In 1952, he fully acquired the business. With a lot of work and patience, the company remained in the public’s consciousness as the highest quality vinegar. With the help of his youngest son, Nikolaos, reliability and quality became the driving forces of the business.

In 1981, Nikolaos Vattis took over the business entirely. With patience and effort, he presented his products and ideas to the world through exhibitions and radio advertisements. In the late 90s, he also began producing lemon sauce, faithfully following the company's quality tradition. In 2007, the craft was transferred to privately owned facilities in Aspropyrgos, Attica.

In 2010, Konstantinos N. Vattis takes over the craft, as the third generation. He unifies the product logos and modernizes the company's image. At the same time, as an agronomist and with the guidance of his father, he begins the production of apple cider vinegar and balsamic vinegar. In 2014, the quality and social responsibility of the company is recognized. UNESCO rewards the company for its contribution to the structures for the immediate treatment of poverty. In 2015, the company was certified with food safety according to the international standard FSSC-22000 of 2010.

From the selection of raw materials to the final bottling stage, every step follows strict quality standards, ensuring a product with a consistent character,

authentic taste and high nutritional value.
